Complyport's Jersey office was opened in 2006 to provide specialist compliance and regulatory consultancy services to clients located in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. The office is based in St Helier, the financial centre and capital of Jersey.
Complyport is the first UK compliance consultancy firm to be given permission to establish an office in Jersey and is now seen to be an important part of Jersey's financial services infrastructure.
The Jersey office services the funds, trusts and investment industries of Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man, whilst providing advice relating to off-shore status to Complyport's London-based clients.
Complyport Jersey is able to provide a comprehensive range of compliance solutions, ensuring clients keep up-to-date with all aspects of the JFSC, GFSC or IOM FSC's regulatory requirements.
Services include:
- Provision and maintenance of a tailored compliance framework, incorporating a Compliance, Policy and Procedures Manual and Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP);
- In-depth information papers on AML and other key regulatory issues;
- Supply of template compliance policies, procedures, checklists and registers for the Manual, with ongoing support to ensure they are kept up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements;
- On-site visits to review the compliance function's implementation of the CMP, together with a report to the Board;
- Template annual, half yearly or quarterly CO, MLCO and MLRO report for submission to the Board;
- A framework for the AML/CFT business risk assessment and resultant strategy;
- Unlimited telephone and email support to help address, in a pragmatic but compliant manner, any regulatory questions, issues or problems arising;
- In any dealings with the regulator, to help advise the client on the 'best approach';
- Staff training in areas such as AML, market abuse and conduct of business;
- Compliance and AML audits; and
- Mock JFSC visits, together with a JFSC-style report and recommendations.
