The compliance support you receive is carefully structured to first recognise regulatory risk and then identify a practical solution to the issues faced by your firm, whilst all the time acknowledging the FSA's rules and guidance.

Our services are tailored to your specific needs. We can undertake a once-a-year review or you can have a Complyport consultant on-site for a number of days a week, maintaining records, reviewing documents and implementing procedures.

The majority of our clients retain us on a monthly basis, to provide a comprehensive level of support. We actively encourage you to pick up the phone to ask questions.

Our expertise extends to special projects, enforcement cases and complex challenges, and we have been commended for our professional and practical approach in these areas. Furthermore, we specialise in preparing individuals for interviews with the FSA, from ARROW visit preparation to Significant Influence Function regime interviews.

Our monthly retained offering includes:

  • Creation of an appropriate Compliance Framework, including the requisite compliance files, formal registers, undertakings, documents, proformas and reporting schedules;
  • Ensuring the Compliance Manual and Compliance Monitoring Programme(s) (CMP) always remain up to date and specific to your business;
  • Provision of comprehensive training in the framework, compliance procedural matters and the application of the CMP;
  • Periodic formal reports to the board which provide details of compliance recommendations and guidance;
  • Unlimited telephone and e-mail support to address questions, issues or problems, without the concern of incurring additional consultancy fees, or waiting until we next visit your premises;
  • Support with FSA forms, notifications and returns - including FSA forms for new employees, exemptions, changes in control, variations of permission or other FSA-clearance events;
  • Advice on communication and 'best approach' with the FSA;
  • A review of the annual financial returns, ICAAP and liquidity assessments;
  • Full access to Complyport's Academy Training suite of programs; and
  • Full assistance in the event of a FSA visit.

The level of service depends on the monthly retainer you sign up to. We will work with you to ensure you receive the package best suited to your specific requirements.

Regulatory Updates

During the course of the year, Complyport publishes a number of periodical newsletters in which we discuss regulatory issues directly relevant to our clients. Our newsletter is sent to all existing clients and is subsequently made available in the Regulatory News section of this website.
