Jonathan joined Complyport in November 2017 and is responsible for the firm’s business development and events management activities. In addition to this, he also assists on client work for the firm’s client base. Recently, he has been researching the implications of the General Data Protection Regulation, which will be implemented on 25th May 2018 and considering potential solutions for clients to meet their obligations.

Jonathan has spent the last seven years working in the compliance and financial crime industry.

Prior to joining Complyport, Jonathan was responsible for UK Finance’s /the British Bankers’ Association’s compliance training business. In this role he assisted firms in understanding current and upcoming regulations by organising relevant training sessions for individual firms. This required an understanding of how the regulations would impact each firm to ensure the training organised was relevant to that firm’s activities/permissions. Prior to this, he led the business development for a small UK based GRC consultancy.

He attended the University of Liverpool and holds a BA (Hons) in Social Science.
