Patrick Mulligan joined Complyport in November 2010 after spending two years with another firm of regulatory compliance consultants where he assisted a number of asset management firms by providing general advice on a broad range of compliance matters.

In addition, he provided technical assistance and accounting expertise to firms subject to the prudential rules contained in BIPRU, IPRU (INV) and MIPRU. This work has included preparation and review of FSA returns, ICAAPs and Liquidity Assessments as well as helping firms to decide upon their optimal capital structures.

Previously Patrick spent seven years within FSA (FCA) Supervision where he looked after general insurance intermediaries, corporate finance, retail asset management, personal finance and authorised professional firms. He was also prominent in assisting investment firms in agreeing their FSA permissions to ensure that they were correctly classified under the Capital Requirements Directive and part of the FSA wide project team that rolled out the GABRIEL reporting system.

During his time at Complyport, Patrick has built on the above skill sets whilst continuing to provide invaluable assistance to firms with AIFMD Annex IV and COREP Reporting under CRD IV.

Patrick has over twenty years’ experience of settlements and accounting in the banking industry, a period during which he qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant and was the Chief Accountant of the London branch of Merita Bank (now Nordea Bank).
